With a new baby requiring so much attention and a tired mom who's on the mend, the rest of us here are having to pick up the slack. For instance, the five-year-old is now in charge of cooking all meals.
Okay, just kidding, but he does like to help where he can.

I saw this in my update... except the no kidding part didn't show up. lol. You know, you really could start teaching him how to cook. My sister and I were making our own meals when we were his age. :)
Awesome. Well, he's good at toast and various other quick makes.
That's about the age that I learned to cook. I've put it to good use ever since. I can make a mean poptart! :)
