Learning About Jersey

My wife and I were talking about how she couldn't make any left turns when visiting New Jersey for Jon Bon Jovi's special fan club only show and I remembered how someone on Twitter told her about jughandles. With a jughandle, the motorist who wants to turn left at the next intersection uses a ramp from the right lane that loops him around onto the desired road.

I remarked that maybe that's what New Jersey's own Jon Bon Jovi was talking about when he named an album of reworked hits This Left Feels Right. Makes sense to me.

This saves on light bulbs for your directional signal on the car. You only need the "right" one.

Not to mention the famous NJ "traffic circle"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_circle

and no one knows who has the right of way. Very common here.

Welcome to Jersey. Once you get in your can't get out!

Next time you and your wife better let me know you are here. We can get you around safely. Well maybe not "safely" :)

Well, its still not that easy. Sure you can go the opposite direction, but it still takes you several turns to get there. I do NOT like the roads in Jersey!!!

I'm sorry Paige. I promise next time you come, I'll drive.

Ummm, I don't know if I'll be back to Jersey. I've already told Jon that as much as I adore him he would have to be somewhere else for me to go see him. ROFL

If I do end up going back I am definitely calling you. Heck we had GPS and it still wasn't all that helpful. LOL

Oh and those traffic circles are hell!!! ROFL

NJ roads (or anything else ugly in NJ and there are too many to list)do not represent all that happen to unwillingly live here. :(

Funny thing about GPS. You are right, on some our house doesn't even show up. That's what happens when you live in the twilight zone. In fact I don't even really exist.

Go Bulldogs! Hope you're feeling well Paige.

Yeah I can't see someone willingly living there. LOL

The GPS was taking us down dead end streets or roads that were closed b/c of construction then it would get annoyed with us when we didn't follow directions. LOL We had to laugh even when we got lost in the "hood." LOL

I'm doing well. Ready for this baby to get here. Thanks!
