Spider in the Machine

I just came back from the kitchen to find a small spider crawling around on the laptop keyboard. I tried to get him but he disappeared somewhere beneath the keys.

The question is this: Should I tell my wife about this now or let her find out when she reads this post?

[Edit to add: It actually came back out seconds later and I got it. Just having some fun with the above question.]

[Edit to add more: Oops. I really thought she would check this from work. It seems that I didn't take into consideration that she might have time to actually get online at home this morning. Sorry, babe. ;)]

Hmmm...that's a tough call. I like the idea of her finding out when she reads the blog. However, that kind of discovery might make her mad.
With wives and spiders always go with informing her first before she touches the keyboard.

Letting her read for herself: cruel

The fast that I cringed and pulled my hands off my own laptop for a second: ridiculous

A note on the damn laptop would have been nice!!!! ACK!!! Now I have to take it off my lap and turn on all the lights in the living room so I can spot it if it happens to come out. If it wakes the kids up at 6am it is your own fault! ;-)

Hey spiders eat other bugs including ants and mosquitos... but they still kinda creep me out. It's the multiple appendages thing.

Hey Michael, could you link to an online query I have? The gist of it: Have you been stimulated, and how was it? It's not X-rated, promise.

It's over at my site:

It's been hours since I first read this, and I'm still shuddering.

P.S. I'm digging the new design/header. It may have been this way a while, but I usually read from GR, so I'm just now noticing.

P.P.S. Thanks for sharing my ridiculous Flickr self-portraits :).
