I found its mate later on the other side of the road. And then I saw a lone bracelet.
What to make of it? Hopefully nothing bad. My prints are all over the shoe in the photo.

I always wonder about the roadside shoes. I've never seen one this fancy, but yesterday I saw a swim fin. The shoes you found seem like something to write a short story about. I think you should.
i posted a couple years ago about the mysteries of lost footwear- 98% of the time, the shoes are solo. in fact, i don't know that i've ever run across an abandoned pair. you're lucky to have had such a rare sighting. perhaps the owner simply had enough of her footwear and was running around elsewhere in the (as it appears to be) park, barefoot.

That's kind of creepy like in a Blue Velvet kind of way. At least it wasn't an ear though.
shauna: I don't know if I have any short stories in me but I may give it a try.
jilly: You're the second person to tell me they thought of David Lynch when seeing this. I totally agree.
Thanks for stopping by.
Too weird. They look so fancy to be discarded.
I see a short story too... Stephen King comes to mind :)
Hmmmm....that is kind of creepy. But its an interesting photo.
